Your presenters
Todd Hattori ABC
As the communication manager for the Washington Department of Information Services, Todd manages employee relations, customer relations and web communication strategies to promote technology solutions to state and local government agencies, tribal organisations, and qualified nonprofit organisations throughout the state of Washington.
Todd is world Chair of IABC in 2007-2008. During his 10 years of involvement in IABC, he has held a variety of roles including chair of the ethics committee from 2004-2006 where he successfully led the development and adoption of an executive board conflict of interest policy and an ethics education policy.
Alex Manchester
Alex is author of the new Melcrum research report, How to use social media to engage employees. He is also editor of the subscription journal KM Review, and Australian editor for The Internal Comms Hub.
Since joining Melcrum’s London office in 2005, Alex has been involved with the subject of collaboration and social media within large organisations, contributing to the Strategic Communication Research Forum and presenting at a range of conferences, industry events and training programmes, including the Internal Communication Black Belt Program.
Alex is now one of two full-time Melcrum employees operating from the company’s new Sydney office.
Colin Jackson
Colin is an independent technology consultant, writer and blogger based in Wellington. He has over 20 years’ private and public sector experience as a technologist, including IT policy, the Internet, IT strategy and IT security.
In 1995 he set up the first ever New Zealand government web server. Since then, he has been at the forefront of the Internet and e-government in New Zealand. In 1996 he co-founded InternetNZ, a voluntary body dedicated to preserving an open and uncapturable Internet in New Zealand.
He was President of InternetNZ for two years from 2005. He is the weekly technology contributor for Radio New Zealand’s Nine to Noon programme.
