21 April - Be There Forum with Wayne Eagleson

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

With ‘100 days of action’ behind it, the National-led Government has now settled in and fine-tuned its operating style.

Wayne Eagleson understands better than most how National ticks – he’s worked alongside John Key since he became party leader, and has held senior positions with National going back to the Jim Bolger’s time.

Come and hear Wayne’s insights on the decision-making processes of the Key Government. There are sure to be lessons for communicators wishing to engage with the administration.

27 January: Be Heard forum on the IABC eXchange

Monday, January 12th, 2009

To welcome in the new year, we’re introducing you to the IABC eXchange, an online tool that connects the popular WordPress blogging platform with the IABC member database of more than 15,400 communicators.

So get going with the year and join us for an informal networking and drinks from 5.15pm on Tuesday 27 January at PowerHouse People’s boardroom on L4, Deloitte House, 10 Brandon Street.

Please register - see link below …

What is the IABC eXchange?

This is a very cool tool and if you’re still getting up to speed with the new social media tools, the IABC eXchange is a great way of experimenting, for starters you can:

  • invite your colleagues to collaborate or share documents online
  • develop a blog and make it visible to the whole world or to IABC members only.

Whether it’s work related, IABC-related or purely personal, the IABC eXchange gives you the power to express yourself!

Network over a glass of wine

You will also have an opportunity to catch up with fellow communicators and share ideas over a glass of wine and nibbles.

The Be Heard forum is FREE to IABC members, however, non-members will need to pay $15. Non-members will be sent an invoice and can pay either at the door or online or by cheque (as detailed on the invoice).

So that we can cater appropriately for numbers, please:
