Please RSVP to admin@iabcwellington.co.nz by 14 February. Should you wish to nominate someone for the IABC Wellington Executive Board, please fax the nomination form to us by 14 February.

Nominations and voting
As a member of IABC Wellington you are entitled to vote in the election of executive board members at the AGM. If you are unable to attend, your vote will be held by the President unless you notify us prior to the AGM that you wish to allocate your vote to another member who will be attending.

To nominate someone for the board, please fill in the form attached and fax it to the number provided on the form. You can fill the form in electronically, but must fax a hard copy showing the signatures of your nominator and seconder.

If you would like to be more involved but can’t make the significant time commitment involved as a board member, then why not come along to the meeting and register your interest in a special project volunteer role?

Communications and media strategist Glenda Hughes
Following the AGM, you will hear from Glenda who has won national recognition as an athlete and a detective, but is probably more widely known for her expertise in working with the media.

Often called on in times of crisis, Glenda has been involved in managing the fall out around several of New Zealand’s high profile incidents. As the NZ Press Association wrote, “When the proverbial hits the fan – Glenda Hughes puts her raincoat on!”

You will hear about Glenda’s experiences in helping keep clients’ reputations intact, her views on the importance of making ethics a priority, and insights into how well we, in the communications profession, are doing at keeping a seat at the top table.
